Yes, its the legendary drummer Omar Hakim! he came to town!! in conjuction with Bentley Music's 30th Anniversary, Pearl Drums brought Omar to Malaysia as part of the Pearl's reference series tour. He played drums for David Bowie, Madonna, Sting and Miles Davis. Really fantastic drummer and a real "preacher"! Yes.. he can really talk.. one thing i must say i didnt njoy at the drum clinic, the Q&A session were way too long. Well, Omar was a really humble nice guy who patiently answers ALL questions very thoroughly. He was emphasizing on the emotions, feelings as a musician, sharing his passion for music, how and who inspires him etc etc etc... oh well.. was good, but i rather hear him play than talk! hehe..
the impatient crowd waiting outside of the ballroom. the drum clinic was delayed because Omar Hakim was still having an interview with 8TV. apparently 8TV came late cos of the jam! sigh..
